Intermittent Fasting Day 7

The good thing about this program is you can always reset tomorrow. One bad day will not ruin all of your progress. If you have a bad day, just get back on track the next day and don’t beat yourself up about it. Even if you ate enough for a squad of soldiers, just sit yourself down and decide you will do better tomorrow.

That brings me to cheat days. A lot of people following an eating program allow themselves a cheat day. A day when they can eat pretty much what they want and as much as they want. Cheat days should be scheduled, say on a Sunday and I like to correspond them with my rest day. I don’t agree with the eat everything under the sun theory, but you should be able to eat anything you want, in moderation. Why schedule it? Let’s say you get to like Thursday, your having a bad day and you want to eat what ever you want. You can use Sunday as a goal day. Tell yourself “You have 2 more days to go and you can have what ever you want”. This hopefully, will keep you on track and help you get through this temptation period. If you take that cheat day on your bad day, what happens 2 days later if you have another one? Take another cheat day? There’s nothing left to look forward to. It’s way too easy to just declare a cheat day every time you want to cover a bad day. Before you know it, you will have more cheat days, then program days. You have to have some discipline during this program.

Anyway, today I got back on track and all is well.
