Intermittent fasting Day 6

Today was a disaster!! I woke up around 3 am with a headache. Went back to bed around 5 am, thinking I nipped it in the bud, but no such luck. A couple of hours later, I had a full blown migraine.

You see when I get a migraine, it never starts right when I wake up. It starts out as a light headache and progresses after a couple of hours. I get two different kinds of migraines. One with nausea and one without. If I have nausea, that’s the worse one. Nausea, vomiting and light sensitivity. It’s the kind where you just sit in a room with the shades drawn and your sunglasses on. Light sensitivity is so bad I can’t even tolerate looking at the TV, computer or even my phone! If vomiting starts, it’s a vicious cycle. Vomiting makes the headache worse, the worse headache makes you more nauseated, more nausea makes you vomit more. Best thing you can do is wait it out or hope you die. This one was without nausea, so not as bad.

The migraine without nausea is actually helped by eating. So, I got a good three meals in, maybe four.

We’ll say I took a cheat day. Cheat day? Is that really a thing? More on that tomorrow.
