Intermittent Fasting Day 36-42

This week I reviewed the program to see if I am going to continue it further or move on to something new. I’m not a big fan of going long periods of time without eating, especially now that I’m getting up at 6am and have to wait at least 6 hours before I can eat anything. I don’t like not having creamer in my coffee, although I can power through that if I really need to. Family gatherings are another problem, but I’m sure I could develop a strategy to work around those.

My weight dropped 9lbs over the course of a month, which is in line with losing 2lbs a week for a safe and sustainable weight loss.

I increased my exercise from ½ mile to 1¾ miles (which I started today). My blood glucose ranged from 120 to 153. This concerns me as I need to start limiting carbs and probably need to start looking at calories also.

All in all, this is an effective program and would probably accelerate the weight loss if I progressed to the next level. Which means I will have to increase my fasting times or start fasting 2 days a week. I’m not looking for a program just to lose weight, but one that I can adapt as a lifestyle change. I want an eating program that will bring me down to my ideal weight and maintain it once I get there without having to make too many changes.

I will start looking at some different programs, but continue to use intermittent fasting to maintain or even continue my weight loss.
