So, I didn’t quite make it to my starting time of 1:30 pm. I started at noon by having creamer in my coffee. That technically breaks the fast even though the creamer was sugar free. Anything that elicits an insulin response breaks the fast and sugar free products have artificial sweeteners in them that will do just that.
The eating went well through the day, until I had desert (Village Inn pie) which pushed me past my ending time. It’s almost impossible to eat three meals and desert in an eight hour window. I suppose you could if you slapped the feed bag on and just ate for eight straight hours. The whole idea is to cut down on the amount of food you eat, not cram everything into a smaller eating time. If I don’t follow the rules, I might as well chuck this program and go back to eating the way I normally do.
Oh well, I will start again tomorrow.
